I had the opportunity to talk to ADULT. this week, and we made it into an interview.
They recorded the album PERSUASION IS/AS/OF DECEPTION last summer in Detroit. Of course, they had no idea that a pandemic was right around the corner and would affect the entire world. The album is just now being released, yet some of its themes carry over. Watching their video “Total Total Damage” mimics that claustrophobia we all feel right now.
We talked a bit about the pandemic (but not too much!). More importantly, we talked about how perception affects how a record is made. That’s something they know a lot about — ADULT. have been making records since the late 1990s.
Check back here, and I’ll post some images that we shared during the conversation. This will come in especially handy as we discuss visuals for their very first single from 1998 and how it intersects with their brand new music from 2020.
